Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Jev.aitools.fyi (https://jev.aitools.fyi), a curated public directory operated by Southern East Inc. ("we", "us"). By using Jev.aitools.fyi, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Your content

You own it. "Your Content" means everything you submit, upload or create in Jev.aitools.fyi, including listing details you send through /submit or a GitHub issue. You keep all your rights in it.

The license you give us. You give Southern East Inc. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, adapt (for formatting and display) and display Your Content. We may do this only to:

1. provide, secure, maintain and support Jev.aitools.fyi for you, including showing or sending Your Content where you direct;
2. show content you choose to make public on Jev.aitools.fyi, and in listings or search results that promote Jev.aitools.fyi;
3. improve and develop our services, including analyzing how they're used and, only where our Privacy Policy says so, training and testing models used for features of Jev.aitools.fyi; and
4. create statistics and anonymized information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limits. We won't sell Your Content. We won't give it to a third party for that party's own purposes, including training the third party's AI models, unless you opt in or tell us to. Our service providers may handle it only to help us run Jev.aitools.fyi.

GitHub submissions. When you submit through GitHub, your issue is public by GitHub's design. We do not control GitHub's visibility settings.

How long the license lasts. It ends when you delete Your Content or ask us to remove a listing, except for: (i) statistics and anonymized information already created; (ii) backup copies, until they're overwritten in our normal cycle (within 35 days); (iii) anything you've already shared with others or published; and (iv) anything the law requires us to keep.

Service Data

"Service Data" means: (a) statistics and anonymized information we create as described in our Privacy Policy; and (b) technical and usage information about how Jev.aitools.fyi performs, such as uptime, errors and feature usage. Service Data does not include Your Content itself, and it does not identify you or any other person.

We own Service Data. We may use it to run, secure and improve Jev.aitools.fyi, and publish it in research, reports and benchmarks, but only while it stays non-identifying. If Service Data turns out to identify someone, we'll treat it as personal information under our Privacy Policy and fix the problem.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Jev.aitools.fyi in a way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights;
• submit false, misleading, or malicious listings or issues;
• attempt to disrupt, scrape, or overload the site beyond reasonable browsing and the public APIs we document;
• misrepresent your affiliation with TypeSafe AI, Southern East Inc., or any listed project; or
• use the directory to distribute malware, spam, or harassing content.

We may remove listings or block abuse that violates these rules or our content standards on /about.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer these Terms, and our related rights and obligations, including information handled under our Privacy Policy. We may do this to an affiliate, or to a successor in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, insolvency, or sale of all or part of our assets or of the business of Jev.aitools.fyi. The successor must honour these Terms and our Privacy Policy for the information it receives, unless it gives you notice and gets any consent required under "Changes to these Terms" and our Privacy Policy. We'll tell you within 30 days after such a transfer. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent.

Changes to these Terms

What counts as material. A change is material if a reasonable user would consider it significant. For example, it reduces your rights or our obligations, changes how we use or share your data, changes dispute resolution or governing law, or takes away a feature you rely on.

Notice. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of a material change, with a notice on Jev.aitools.fyi and in our policy archive. This directory has no accounts or mailing list, so we do not email visitors about Terms changes. The notice will summarize the change and link to the old and new versions.

Your data. A change that expands how we use or share data applies to data we collected before the change only if you expressly agree.

Your options. If you don't agree, you can stop using Jev.aitools.fyi before the change takes effect.

Other changes. Non-material changes take effect when we post them. Except as the "Your data" paragraph says, using Jev.aitools.fyi after a non-material change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

History. Past Privacy Policy versions are at /privacy/archive. If the law requires a change sooner, we'll give as much notice as we can.

Disclaimers

Jev.aitools.fyi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We curate links and descriptions in good faith but do not guarantee that every listing is complete, current, or fit for your purpose. Outbound links and embedded demos are controlled by third parties, not by Southern East Inc.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Southern East Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Jev.aitools.fyi. Our total liability for any claim relating to Jev.aitools.fyi is limited to the greater of (a) CAD $100 or (b) the amount you paid us to use Jev.aitools.fyi in the twelve months before the claim (typically zero for this free directory).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, these limits apply only to the extent allowed by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the courts of Ontario, Canada have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where consumer protection law in your province or country gives you a non-waivable right to sue elsewhere.
