Unclutter
WXT Chrome and Firefox extension: Jev classifies keep/ad/promotion/newsletter/social/cookie/uncertain, then saves local template hide rules at p and confidence at least 0.9.
Overview
Unclutter (github.com/kitze/unclutter, MIT) is Kitze's browser extension built with Bun and WXT. On analyze, it collects bounded DOM candidates (not full page HTML), asks Jev to Choice among keep, ad, promotion, newsletter, social, cookie, and uncertain, then writes hide rules keyed by page template. TypeSafe direct mode uses POST https://api.typesafe.ai/v1/systemone with model jev-latest; Vercel AI Gateway mode uses typesafe-ai/jev on the evaluation endpoint. Manual mode runs on button click; On page visit mode reuses or upgrades templates while preserving paused rules and keep-visible overrides. README requires both selected-choice probability and TypeSafe confidence at least 0.9 when confidence is present; otherwise the element stays visible. Uncertain classifications always stay visible.
Problem: Modern sites bury useful content under ads, newsletters, cookie walls, and social widgets, but regex blocklists break on the next redesign.
Built for: Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Firefox users who want a WXT extension that classifies clutter with Jev once, then reuses local template rules on return visits.

How Jev is used
- Role in the product flow
- Per-candidate clutter Choice with conservative thresholds before persisting template hide rules
- Primitives
- Choice
- State in
- Bounded candidate snippets and metadata from the active tab DOM; page text treated as untrusted evidence per README safety section.
- Decision out
- Category label per candidate; sub-threshold or uncertain results leave elements visible and skip aggressive hides.
- User loads unpacked Chromium build or temporary Firefox add-on
- Configure Gateway or TypeSafe key in popup (BYOK)
- Analyze page or run on visit to classify candidates
- Extension stores template rules locally for matching URLs
- User can uncheck rules in Hidden elements to keep items visible
Unclutter is a product-shaped cousin of realzachi-typesafe-adblock: both use Jev on web annoyances, but Unclutter emphasizes template reuse and Kitze's UX rather than a static blocklist narrative. browser-use-jev-ultrafast is for agent-driven clicks, not passive reading. No repo ships bundled API keys; operators bring Vercel AI Gateway or TypeSafe credentials. Pair with realzachi-typesafe-adblock when you want to compare approaches before standardizing internal extensions.
